Get Involved
What is the project?
This project forms the basis of a PhD project being completed by the lead researcher (Ruth, she/her). The overall project is aiming to explore what it’s like for adults who have self-diagnosed as autistic and/or ADHD because of content that they’ve seen on social media. You can find a lot more information about the project here.
Recruitment for Phase 1 of the project is now closed as this is already underway.
For Phase 2, we are looking for self-diagnosed neurodivergent people to be interviewed about using social media and how it helped with their self-diagnosis.
For all the information on Phase 1, please click here. For all the information on Phase 2, please click here.
I am more than happy to chat further with anyone who’s interested in the project. This can be via a one-to-one Zoom call, direct messaging, voice notes, email etc. Let me know what you would prefer in terms of communication, and I’ll try my best to accommodate you. If you would like to discuss further, please get in touch via my email: ruth.leiser@strath.ac.uk
When we are ready to start asking people to get involved with the project, the relevant documents will be available to download on this page. There will be a written version, but it is quite long and has a lot of detail, so the information will also be available in an audio option.
